IDENTITY AND HERITAGE
THE MARK
The Heraldic Monogram & Anno Domini
The Arma Dei mark is a bold heraldic monogram combining an “A” and “D” into a protective shield, pierced vertically by a sword - directly symbolizing the Armor of God and the sword of the Spirit.
The “A” and “D” also allude to Anno Domini (AD or A.D.), Latin for “in the year of the Lord” - the system for dating years after the customary birth of Jesus Christ. Established by Dionysius Exiguus in 525 AD, this dating system forms the basis of the Gregorian calendar. AD is typically placed before the year (e.g., AD 2026), and years preceding it are denoted by BC (Before Christ).
